2025~2026学年上半学期,紫荆51团支部的马逸凡、龙俊霖、程阳、李英睿、叶天瑞同学,以及紫荆51班的银花、黄瓅琦、丘凌瑞、郭淑华、艾丽莎、沛麟同学共同参与了第二批次的“清”年爱劳动活动,我们选择的岗位是清芬园的早点制作岗。
During the first semester of the 2025-2026 academic year, Ma Yifan, Long Junlin, Cheng Yang, Li Yingrui and Ye Tianrui from Zijing 51 Youth League Branch, together with Munkhtsetseg, Angelina, Gracielle, Tracy, Alesha and Preshlin from Zijing 51, participated in the second batch of the "Tsinghua Youth Love Labor" Program. The post they took was the breakfast preparation position at Qingfen Canteen.

由于早点制作岗的劳动与食品安全息息相关,此次参与劳动的同学们在上岗前均前往校医院办理了健康证。团支书、志愿委员等班干部提前进行了排班,并与志愿中心、饮食中心的老师和学长学姐取得了联系。志愿委员Preshlin同学还考虑到了国际学生语言不通的问题,对排班进行了调整,使每一批上岗的同学中都至少有一位中国学生。在班干部和同学们的共同努力下,紫荆51团支部的“清”年爱劳动活动得以顺利进行。
Given that the work of breakfast preparation is closely linked to food safety, all participating students obtained health certificates from the university hospital prior to taking up their posts. The league branch secretary, volunteer committee member and other class cadres drew up the work schedule in advance and liaised with teachers, senior students and sisters from the Volunteer Service Center and Catering Service Center. The secretary of volunteering Preshlin also took into account the language barrier faced by international students and adjusted the schedule to ensure that there was at least one Chinese student in each group of on-duty students. Thanks to the joint efforts of class cadres and all students, the "Tsinghua Youth Love Labor" activity organized by Zijing 51 Youth League Branch proceeded smoothly.
在劳动开始前,紫荆51班团骨干与阳光同行讲师李钰凯学长就班团建设、班团活动开展等问题进行了一次交流。其中,李钰凯学长详细地介绍了“清”年爱劳动的流程、善后工作、紧急情况处置以及报销方式等注意事项,并给出了很多切实可行的建议,在紫荆51团支部的劳动活动中起到了非常重要的作用。
During the pre-activity discussion between the backbone members of Zijing 51 and Li Yukai, the lecturer from the Walk with Sunshine program, Li Yukai elaborated on the procedures, follow-up work, emergency response measures and reimbursement methods of the "Tsinghua Youth Love Labor" Program, and offered many practical suggestions, which played an extremely important role in the labor activity of Zijing 51 Youth League Branch.

Labor Process
紫荆51团支部的劳动开始时,北京的气温已经接近零度。同学们五点在清芬园集合时,天刚蒙蒙亮,寒冷与困乏让同学们几乎睁不开眼,然而进入后厨之后却发现工作人员们已经精神饱满地开始工作了。
When the labor activity of Zijing 51 Youth League Branch kicked off, the temperature in Beijing had dropped to nearly zero degrees Celsius. The students gathered at Qingfen Canteen at 5 a.m., when the sky was just dawning with faint light. Chilled to the bone and overcome with drowsiness, they could barely keep their eyes open. Yet upon stepping into the kitchen, they found the staff already hard at work, full of energy and vitality.
同学们的任务是制作肉馅小笼包。劳动开始时,后厨的叔叔阿姨们手把手地演示怎样擀制包子皮、怎样放置馅料以及怎样封口,然后让同学们先用面团作为馅料进行试验,熟悉包小笼包的手法,在熟练后再使用肉馅。在使用面团作为馅料时,同学们包的小笼包都有模有样,但是一旦换成较软、较冰而且较黏的肉馅,小笼包的形状就变得千奇百怪。
The students were tasked with making baozi. At the start of the work, the chefs and kitchen staff in the back kitchen demonstrated step by step how to roll out baozi wrappers, place the filling properly, and seal the baozi neatly. They then asked the students to practice with dough as a substitute for the filling first, allowing them to get the hang of the wrapping techniques before moving on to the real filling. When using dough, the students’ baozi all looked quite presentable. But once they switched to the soft, cold and sticky filling, the baozi they made turned out to be of all sorts of weird and wonderful shapes.
即使同学们的手法不很熟练,后厨的叔叔阿姨们仍然十分耐心地接过同学们包的半成品“小笼包”,进行补救的同时介绍不同的包法。为了让劳动过程更加轻松愉快,后厨的叔叔阿姨们边一刻不停地赶制小笼包,边和同学们聊着天,还亲切地询问国际学生的家乡有没有吃小笼包的习惯,让后厨不断飘出欢声笑语。
Despite the students’ unskilled techniques, the kitchen staff remained extremely patient. They took the half-finished "baozi" from the students, fixed the flawed parts, and at the same time shared various wrapping methods with them. To make the labor process more relaxed and enjoyable, the kitchen staff kept churning out baozi non-stop while chatting with the students. They also kindly asked the international students whether their hometowns had the tradition of eating baozi, filling the kitchen with continuous waves of laughter and cheerful chatter.
劳作结束后,同学们纷纷为食堂工作人员的恪尽职守与辛勤付出所动容:食堂里的每一道菜品,皆出自后厨工作人员的亲手烹制,这也为寻常食物赋予了别样的价值与温度。不仅如此,同学们仅体验了一次早餐制作岗位的工作,当得知工作人员每日凌晨三四点便要开启一天的忙碌时,心中更是产生了由衷的敬佩。
After the labor work was over, the students were all deeply touched by the dedication and hard work of the canteen staff: every dish served in the canteen is made by the hands of the kitchen workers, endowing ordinary food with unique value and warmth. Moreover, having only experienced the breakfast preparation work once, the students felt a profound sense of admiration when they learned that the staff start their busy day as early as 3 or 4 o’clock in the morning every single day.

12月初,我作为紫荆51团支部中的一名团员,一起参与了“清”年爱劳动活动,前往清芬园制作早点。在参与这次劳动活动前,我从不知道食堂后厨的工作人员们需要在凌晨四五点就开始制作早点。我参与活动的时候天气已经转凉,早晨起来天还没亮,但是食堂工作人员们已经工作了好一会儿了。我的任务是包小笼包,后厨的两位阿姨和一位大叔耐心地指导我们怎么包小笼包。一开始用面团作为馅料的时候,包出来的小笼包还有模有样。一旦换成冰凉的肉馅,包出来的小笼包就比较不成形了。但是食堂叔叔阿姨们仍然不厌其烦地教学。除了真切地认识到了食堂工作人员的辛苦,这次志愿活动也让我直观地感受到了他们手工制作每一份食物的用心。
In early December, as a member of the Zijing 51 Youth League Branch, I participated in the "Tsinghua Youth Love Labor" and went to Qingfen Canteen to make breakfast. Before participating in this labor activity, I never knew that the canteen kitchen staff needed to start making breakfast at four or five in the early morning. When I participated in the activity, the weather had turned cold, and it was still dark when I got up in the morning, but the canteen staff had already been working for a while. My task was to make xiaolongbao. Two aunts and one uncle in the kitchen patiently taught us how to make them. At first, when we used dough as filling, the xiaolongbao we made looked decent. But once we switched to cold filling, the xiaolongbao became rather shapeless. However, the canteen uncles and aunts still taught us patiently without getting annoyed. In addition to truly realizing the hard work of the canteen staff, this volunteer activity also made me intuitively feel their dedication to making each portion of food by hand.

“清”年爱劳动项目为我们提供了参与志愿服务等活动的机会,旨在培养青年领导力。在其中一次活动中,我们前往清芬食堂协助工作人员准备当天的早餐。我们一大早起床,并于早上六点半左右开始工作。食堂工作人员对我们在厨房中的生疏操作十分包容,并在整个过程中耐心指导我们如何揉面、捏褶,将面团做成包子。向厨房师傅学习制作包子的过程既具有挑战性,又令人收获颇丰,随着练习的增加,我们的手法也逐渐熟练。在多次尝试之后,我们终于掌握了正确的方法。在短暂的相处中,我们与工作人员建立了联系,彼此交流并分享了各自的背景。活动结束时,我们依然意犹未尽,因为学习新技能并持续服务他人所带来的满足感让我们深感充实。尽管“清”年爱劳动对我们来说仍是一个新概念,但它让我们更加贴近“清华人”的精神内涵。我坚信,该项目将有助于清华大学紫荆书院51班培养具有全球视野的未来领袖。最后,我衷心感谢食堂工作人员以及活动组织者,让我们有幸成为他们厨房中的一员。
"Tsinghua Youth Love Labor" program provided opportunities to participate in volunteering activities aimed at cultivating young leaders. During one activity, we volunteered at Qing Fen to help the staff prepare breakfast. We woke up early and began work at around 6:30 a.m. The staff were patient and forgiving of our amateur skills, and their guidance in teaching us how to knead the dough and twist it into baozi was evident throughout the activity. Learning from the kitchen staff was challenging but rewarding as we gradually improved our technique. After several failed attempts, we mastered the correct method. In the short time we were there, we connected with the staff and shared our backgrounds. By the end of the activity, we were reluctant to stop, as the satisfaction of learning a new skill and providing continued service brought us great fulfillment. Though new to us, the Youth Love Labor program has brought us closer to the mindset of a Tsinghua Ren, and I strongly believe it will contribute to the development of global leaders in Zijing 51. I am grateful to the staff and the organizer for giving us the privilege of being part of their kitchen.

凌晨五点的食堂,还浸着初冬的微凉,我们却在案板前忙得热火朝天。从揉面醒发的耐心等待,到捏褶塑形的反复尝试,指尖沾满的面粉,是与传统技法的亲密接触。当一个个歪歪扭扭的包子在蒸笼里逐渐饱满,氤氲的热气裹着麦香扑面而来时,我忽然懂得,劳动从不是枯燥的重复。 这指尖的一揉一捏,不仅捏出了暄软的包子,更捏出了青春的踏实与丰盈。原来,青春的价值从不在空想里,而在亲手创造的每一份烟火气中。
At 5 a.m., the canteen was still immersed in the slight chill of early winter, but we were busy as a beehive at the chopping board. From the patient waiting for kneading and proofing the dough to the repeated attempts at pinching pleats and shaping, the flour on our fingertips was a close encounter with traditional techniques. When the lopsided buns gradually became plump in the steamer, and the misty steam carrying the aroma of wheat come straight at me, I suddenly understood that labor is never a boring repetition. The kneading and pinching with our fingertips not only shaped soft and fluffy buns but also shaped the steadiness and richness of youth. It turns out that the value of youth does not lie in empty fantasies but in every bit of earthly warmth created with our own hands.

参加“清”年爱劳动志愿活动虽然累人,却意外地有意义。起初,凌晨四点起床感觉糟透了,四周一片漆黑寂静,身体完全想赖在床上。但一旦开始为学校食堂包包子,睡意就慢慢消退了。和大家一起并肩劳作,让这个清晨变得有意义。最让我印象深刻的是,像一顿饭这样平常的东西,背后竟倾注了如此多的心血。我吃过无数次包子,从未多想,但在日出前站在那里,一个一个地包着包子,彻底改变了我的看法。这是重复的,有时甚至乱糟糟的,但也有一种令人安心的感觉。大家互相帮助,开玩笑提神,怀着共同完成任务的目标。虽然我没做多少事,但看到一些包子包好时,我感到一种淡淡的成就感。我筋疲力尽,却心怀自豪。这次经历让我感激那些每天做着这类工作却常常不被注意的人们。它让我意识到,劳动不仅仅是辛苦付出,它关乎关怀、责任,以及用微小却有意义的方式为他人付出。
Participating in the Youth Love Labour volunteering program was tiring, but surprisingly meaningful. Waking up at 4 a.m. felt almost dreadful at first, everything was dark and quiet, and my body definitely wanted to stay in bed. But once we started making baozi for the school canteen, the sleepiness slowly faded. Working side by side with others made the early morning feel purposeful.What stood out to me most was how much effort goes into something as ordinary as a meal. I’ve eaten baozi countless times without thinking twice, but standing there before sunrise, making them one by one, completely changed my perspective. It was repetitive and sometimes messy, but there was also something comforting about it. Everyone helped each other, joked around to stay awake, and shared the same goal of getting the job done.Although I didn't do much, I felt a quiet sense of accomplishment when I saw some of the baozi ready. I was exhausted, but proud. This experience made me appreciate the people who do this kind of work every day, often unnoticed. It reminded me that labour isn’t just about hard work. It’s about care, responsibility, and contributing to others in small but meaningful ways.

凌晨五点,我怀着期待的心情走进清华大学清芬园食堂,参加"清年爱劳动"志愿活动。在食堂师傅的耐心指导下,我开始学习揉面、擀皮、包馅。起初,面团在我手中总是不听使唤,不是擀破了皮就是捏不住褶,看着师傅们行云流水的动作,我既羡慕又有些着急。但师傅们始终微笑着鼓励我,手把手教我掌握力度和手法。三个小时里,面粉沾满了双手,额头渗出细汗,但当看到自己包出的歪歪扭扭却独一无二的包子时,心中充满了成就感。这次活动让我深刻体会到劳动的艰辛与快乐,也明白了"看似简单的事,做好都需要用心"的道理。那些热腾腾的包子不仅承载着食物的香气,更凝聚着劳动的价值和成长的喜悦。
At 5 a.m., I walked into Tsinghua University's Qingfen Yuan Canteen with anticipation to participate in the "Qing Youth Love Labor" volunteer activity. Under the patient guidance of the canteen masters, I began to learn kneading dough, rolling wrappers, and filling buns. At first, the dough was unruly in my hands—I either rolled the wrapper too thin and it broke or couldn't pinch the pleats. Watching the masters' smooth and effortless movements, I felt both envious and a little anxious. But the masters always encouraged me with smiles and taught me hand-in-hand to master the strength and techniques. For three hours, my hands were covered in flour, and fine sweat broke out on my forehead. However, when I saw the lopsided yet unique buns I made, my heart was filled with a sense of accomplishment. This activity made me deeply experience the hardships and joys of labor and understand the truth that "even things that seem simple require dedication to do well." Those steaming buns not only carry the aroma of food but also embody the value of labor and the joy of growth.

在“清”年爱劳动志愿活动中,我体验了一次趣味十足的小笼包制作。从揉面学起,一开始手法生疏,面团总也揉不到细腻的状态。到了包馅环节,更是状况百出 —— 一心想做到皮薄馅多,结果馅料总往外冒,拉褶子时怎么都捏不紧实,急得我手忙脚乱。好在我们三人分工协作,一人擀皮、两人包馅,边做边互相提醒技巧。熟能生巧之下,小笼包渐渐变得圆润饱满,最后成功做出三屉。看着自己亲手包的小笼包,我真切感受到,看似简单的美食制作,藏着不少门道,而和同伴一起合作的过程,更是充满了欢乐。
In the "Qing" Youth Love Labor volunteer activity, I had a fun-filled experience of making xiaolongbao. Starting with kneading dough, I was awkward in technique at first and couldn't knead the dough to a smooth consistency. When it came to filling, all sorts of problems arose—I was bent on making thin wrappers with plenty of filling, but the filling kept oozing out, and I couldn't pinch the pleats tightly no matter how hard I tried, leaving me flustered and frantic. Fortunately, the three of us divided the work and collaborated: one rolled wrappers, two filled the buns, and we reminded each other of techniques as we worked. With practice comes proficiency, and the xiaolongbao gradually became round and plump, and we finally made three steamers. Looking at the xiaolongbao I made with my own hands, I truly felt that there's a lot of know-how behind making seemingly simple delicacies, and the process of collaborating with peers was filled with joy.

这是我第一次凌晨四点起床准备早餐,不得不说,我对那些每天这么早起床为我们做饭的厨师们产生了新的敬意。看他们工作让我大开眼界。他们耐心地教我包小笼包的复杂技巧,以及如何添加适量的馅料。我从未意识到做出完美的包子有多么困难。我花了很长时间,而厨师们显然已经掌握了这项技能,大约五秒钟就能包好一个包子。我只能敬畏地看着!这次经历让我真正懂得珍惜食堂的食物,因为我知道每一道菜都倾注了多少努力、技巧和辛勤劳动。除了学到新技巧,我还结交了新朋友!我和做生煎包的阿姨成了朋友,她非常善良热情。一天结束时,我感到开心、疲惫但非常满足。这是一次富有成效的经历,让我对食物以及背后的制作者有了更深的敬意。未来,我希望能用学到的技巧再尝试做包子。
